La Wuandia

      La Wuandia  is The Power - The Melody -       The Music - The Song - The Voice:  a renowned multi-talented Singer/Songwriter/Promoter - this truly gifted Songstress is an Infusion of Real Music: Jazz, R&B, Standards and sprinkles of Funk.  She has incredible vocal range with unbelievable control and a powerful delivery.  Her stage presence is sensual.  La  Wuandia has a sultry, soulful, full-bodied sound that is hauntingly compared to Phyllis Hyman as well Gladys Knight and Shirley Bassey.   Her raw energetic performance is like that of  Tina Turner and for this reason in addition to her chiseled limbs, many have coined her "baby Tina Turner"                         

      This talented entertainer began her professional career with the unceasing encouragement from her sister Sherry, La Wuandia would go on to receive mentorship from Chicago's Elite promoter Helen Keller-Wooten of HK Productions, whom exposed and began to educate LaWuandia of the entertainment business world.

  Later La Wuandia caught the ear of  Sony's songwriter Michael Gray, whom suggested she take part in an Open Mic Event at the Cotton Club (Chicago, USA), where she received a standing ovation, and was urged by the late actor/singer Jimmy Spinks to return at which both he and the late comedian/actor Bernie Mac would go on to mentored her.  This exposure went on to create a dynamic yet enchanting vocalist, who does more than just sing - she creates a mood!  

   La Wuandia delivers masterfully her emotional, heartfelt, riveting expression that satisfies the musical palate of any audience that appreciate 'Real Music.'

La Wuandia has performed in a number of settings; she has opened for the late Bernie Mac, shared the stage with R.Kelly, The Chi-Lites, George Benson and The O'Jays, Norman Connors, Jean Carne among others.  She has appeared and performed at the Chicago Theatre, on the nationally syndicated ManCow Radio.TV show, WGN-TV Morning Show, she has also performed at Buddy Guy's Legend (Chicago) as well in Touring Stage Plays, Award Programs, Cable, Corporate & Private Events and numerous Social Galas and Syndicated and Internet Radio
